Attendence Guidelines

The main focus of the branch is to run the academics smoothly by conducting internal examinations in-time and keeping a great effort in conducting the university examinations effectively.
The Rules Followed by Exam Branch:

  1. To oversee the smooth conduct of J.N.T. University & Mid Exams of their respective sub-committee programmes.
  2. To assist in the preparation and distribution of circular to all the faculty members informing them to prepare the question papers one week in advance before the start of MID-EXAMS.
  3. To ensure that all the faculty members have submitted the question papers before the specified date & time.
  4. To assist in the preparation & assignment of invigilators duties to the faculty members.
  5. To assist in the distribution of question papers & main answer sheet pads and receiving the same on the day of the examination.
  6. To monitor & ensure that invigilation duties are carried out by the faculty members as per the guidelines specified by the J.N.T.U. University.
  7. To assist in the uploading of internal marks to the J.N.T.U. Portal.
  8. To assist in the Online Registration of examination details at the J.N.T.U. Exam Portal.
  9. To ensure that all the Exam related documents reach the university before the specified deadline.

All the Exams Committee Members are required to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and integrity.

  1. Check the Answer Book thoroughly before filling in the details. The defective answer book may be returned to the invigilator.
  2. Please check the details of yours particulars in the OMR Sheet. ie. Name, Hall Ticket No., Examination and Papers etc.
  3. Ensure that the OMR Barcode Sheet is properly secured to the Answer Booklet given.
  4. You are prohibited from writing on or tampering the Barcode as they may affect marks allotted to you.
  1. Candidates are prohibited from:
    1. Writing their HALL TICKET NUMBERS in any part of the answer booklet.
    2. Writing their names in any part of the answer booklet.
    3. Addressing the examiner in any manner whatsoever in the answer booklet. If they do so, their answers will not be valued.
    4. Writing religious symbols.
    5. Bringing Cell Phones / Mobile phones.
  2. Before beginning to answer any question, the candidates should write the correct number of that question. They should complete the answer for any question and commence writing answer for the succeeding question. Answer written at different places for the same question will not be valued.
  3. Answers should be written on both sides of the paper. Do not write in the margin. No loose sheets of paper will be allowed in the examination room; no paper must be detached from or attached to the answer booklets. Answer must be legibly written. Candidates should write not less than 25 lines in each page. It is not necessary to begin each answer in fresh page.
  4. This answer booklet should be returned to the Invigilator before leaving the examination hall.
  5. Enter the question Paper Set number (i.e., 1 or 2 or 3 or 4) received by them in the Block specified on the first page of the main answer book. Enter the Question Paper Set Number and sign in the attendance sheet supplied.
  6. Students should stay in the Examination Hall at least for half-an-hour from the commencement of the Examination.
  7. NO ADDITIONAL ANSWER BOOKLET WILL BE SUPPLIED.
  1. Report at Exam Branch at least 30 minutes before the time of commencement of Examination. (i.e. 9.30 am for forenoon Exam & 1.30 pm for afternoon Exam). Collect the seating arrangement, examination stationary and be present at the respective hall to which you are allotted atleast 20 minutes prior to the commencement of examination.
  2. The candidates should be present in the examination halls before the commencement of examination i.e. before 10.00 AM for forenoon session, no candidate should be allowed after the commencement of the Examination the invigilators should ensure that they would not carry any material except Hall Ticket into the halls.
  3. There will be four question papers with set numbers (1, 2, 3& 4) for each subject. Ensure that you receive the correct question papers of the subjects of examination for the candidates allotted to your hall.
  4. Distribute the question papers starting with the correct set number from the first candidate onwards and follow the distribution as in EAMCET examination.
  5. Ask the candidates to write the set number of question paper received by him in the top right corner on the first page of main answer book. You have to sign on the main page after checking the Hall Ticket Number and set number of question paper issued to him.
  6. Candidates also have to enter the question paper set number they have received in the nominal roll supplied and put their signature. Fill up the entries at the bottom of the nominal roll and affix your signature.
  7. Please ensure to collect the answer book from the candidates before they leave the examination hall.
  8. Please enter the set number of the question paper issued to each candidate present in the seating arrangement in the space provided, if the candidate is absent put a cross mark across the Hall Ticket Number in the seating arrangement with RED INK.
  9. At end of examination collect the answer scripts from the candidates and arrange them as per question paper set number (1,2,3,4) separately in the increasing order of Hall Ticket numbers and handover to the officer-in-charge of examinations.
  • A Student shall be eligible to appear for university examinations if acquires a minimum of 75% of attendance in aggregate of all the subjects.
  • Condonation of shortage of attendance in aggregate up to 10% (65% above and below 75%) in each semester or I year may be granted by the college Academic Committee.
  • Student will not be promoted to the next semester unless he satisfies the attendance requirement of the present semester / I year when he offered next.
  • Shortage of attendance below 65% in aggregate shall in NO case be condoned.
  • Students whose shortage of attendance is not condoned in any semester / I year are not eligible to take their end examination of that class and their registration shall stand cancelled.
  • A stipulated fee shall be payable towards condonation of shortage of attendance.
